The SkyMul team recently wrapped participation in the National Science Foundation I-Corps program. During the six week long boot camp aimed at customer discovery and getting outside, the team conducted over 100 interviews visiting sites across the country. The program really allowed us to see first hand different regional variations in construction practices and building requirements as well as their similarities. We were able to gain direct insight from not just one element of the ecosystem, but individuals at general contractors, subcontractors, inspectors, unions, and suppliers. They ranged from owners to foreman to trades covering the spectrum of a construction site, More information about the I-Corps program can be found here.
